Imran Khan’s purpose to shut capital will not fulfill: PM Nawaz Sharif

BAKU (92 News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that Imran Khan’s purpose to shut the capital will not fulfill. Adressing Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the prime minister said that if India is serious, Pakistan is ready to hold a dialog. He was talking to Pakistani journalists in Baki. The cord of discord between India and Pakistan is Kashmir. The development work on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is in full pace. China has also expressed satisfaction over pace of work on the project, he said. He also reassured that the gas prices will not be increased. Earlier, while talking to Azerbaijan Speaker Milli Majlis Ogtay Asadov during his visit to the parliament in Baku on Saturday, he said that India heated up the Line of Control (LoC) issue intentionally to divert the world attention from the grave human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir. The prime minister said Indian forces' recent atrocities in held Kashmir have claimed lives of 112 people, blinded over 200 people and wounded thousands of others. Nawaz Sharif said that Pakistan values Azerbijan's support for the Kashmir cause. He said the two countries' mutual support on Kashmir and Nagorno Karabakh reflects strong bilateral relationship. He said that democracy is functional in both the countries and inter-parliamentary and leadership level exchanges of visits will enhance cooperation in economic, defense and other sectors. Speaking on the occasion, the Azerbaijan Parliament speaker expressed the confidence that the Nawaz Sharif's visit will help promote bilateral relationship. He also briefed the prime minister about the proceedings of the parliament. The prime minister also visited the martyrs' monument Fakhri Khiyaban in Baku to pay tribute to those who laid their lives for freedom of Azerbaijan. He also laid wreath on the monument.
