RAWALPINDI (92 News) Rawalpindi police have released Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders and three sisters of PTI founder Imran Khan after brief detention.
The police had detained PTI leaders, including Omar Ayub, Sahibzada Hamid Raza, and Ahmed Khan Bachhar, along with Imran Khan’s three sisters, who arrived at Adiala Jail to meet the PTI founder.
Imran Khan’s sisters and PTI leaders were on their way to Adiala Jail to meet the PTI founder when the police stopped them at a police checkpoint near Adiala Jail.
Before being detained, PTI leaders had argued with the police. The police had shown them the arrest warrants for seven PTI members, including Imran Khan’s sisters, his cousin Qasim Khan, Ahmed Khan Bachhar, and Sahibzada Hamid Raza.
For insisting on going to Adiala Jail and refusing to go back, the police detained Omar Ayub, Sahibzada Hamid Raza, and Ahmed Khan Bhachar. The police also detained Imran Khan’s three sisters, including Aleema Khan, Noreen Khanum, and Uzma Khanum, and put them in a prisoner van.
Informed sources said that today was not the day for the family to meet the PTI founder, but his sisters arrived for the meeting.
