Imran to nominate corruption-free candidate not young man: Qureshi

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Wednesday clarified that PTI chief Imran Khan vowed to nominate best and corruption-free candidate for slot of Punjab’s Chief Minister (CM) as he did not used the word "young man" leadership for Punjab. Speaking to the journalists after Punjab parliamentary party meeting, Shah Mehmood claimed that the number of PTI seats in Punjab likely to reach 180 to 186, however, PTI is needed only 149 seats to form government in Punjab. He said that the party will not do traditional politics because the PTI has its own manifesto. The PTI leader said that the PTI would try to implement its manifesto of "change" with honestly. He also said that the people of Punjab have voted for change in the province in July 25 general elections. He said that the voters of Punjab put the PML-N on defending position by the for his party, adding that the province’s voters have also rejected the PPP. Shah Mehmood Qureshi further said that the all party leaders will accept the candidate for Punjab CM slot who will be nominated by Imran Khan. Earlier, Imran Khan presided the Punjab parliamentary party meeting and addressed to the gathering. All the newly-elected MPAs including wining independent candidates, who joined the PTI, attended the meeting.
