In 29 operations CTD arrests six terrorists across Punjab

LAHORE (92 News) – Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has arrested six terrorists in 29 operations led by intelligence.

CTD Punjab conducted 29 intelligence-based operations across the province, interrogating 30 suspects and arresting six. Terrorists were arrested from Okara, Jhang, Khushab and Gujarat. IEDs, grenades, detonators, weapons and other explosives were recovered.

According to CTD, two alleged terrorists Saghir Hussain and Abdul Jabbar were arrested from Okara who belonged to a banned organization. Explosives were recovered from the possession of the alleged terrorists which they wanted to use in sabotage.

Furthermore, an alleged terrorist named Sufyan Waheed belonging to a banned organization from Gujarat was arrested. He was distributing banned books among the citizens and promoting his organization through stickers.

Hidayatullah, an alleged terrorist of the banned outfit, was arrested from Khushab for promoting the organization through pamphlets and stickers.

During the operation in Jhang, CTD arrested two alleged terrorists, Nishan Ali and Jafar Hussain, both belonging to the banned outfit and spreading hateful material on social media.
