Incessant rain inundates several areas in Karachi

KARACHI (92 News) - Incessant rain continuing for the last several days inundated different areas of the city.

Almost all Goths adjacent to Guddap were drowned. As a result, residents of the areas were forced to migrate from the safer places.

The police rescued three girls trapped in Korangi canal. Meanwhile, bodies of Zeeshan Ansari and two kids were found along with the vehicle from Malir canal. Efforts are going on to find the remaining bodies. A couple, their driver and four children were drowned in a canal.

Meanwhile, heavy rains have caused havoc in several districts of the province. In August, Sindh has received over 350 percent extra rains. Different districts, including Hyderabad, Larkana, Mirpur Khas, Qambar, Tando Allahyar and Sukkur.

In Ghotki, the dyke of the Sindh River broke and emergency has been declared in the area. According to the district administration, as many as 150 villages have been washed away.

As many as nine people have so far been killed in different rains-related accidents.
