Increase in prices of petrol and electricity is IMF's mini-budget: Shehbaz Sharif

LAHORE (92 News) – Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif has termed the increase in the prices of petrol and power as mini-budget of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Reacting to the hefty increase in the rates of petrol and electricity on Saturday, he demanded that the prime minister should resign immediately. "How will a person earning Rs 20,000 feed his family and pay the house rent and utility bills?" he questioned.

Shehbaz Sharif should leave the government instead of sucking the blood of the people daily. "Imran Niazi has failed to serve the masses and the country despite getting concessional marks," he added.

He said the increase in the petrol price raised the price of each item. "The basic reason for destruction of economy is Imran Niazi," he maintained.
