ISLAMABAD (92 News) - US Acting Assistant Secretary Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs Alice G Wells Wednesday deplored Indian government's act of revoking special status for occupied Kashmir.

In a tweet by SCA, she was attributed as saying neither the Indian government consulted nor sought advice from US for deciding the new administrative move for held Kashmir.

Alice denied press reports which claimed that India had informed the United States before revoking the special status granted to occupied Kashmir

Alice is currently on an official visit to Pakistan to hold delegation-level talks and discuss the formation of US-Pak joint working mechanism and ways to promote bilateral relations between US and Pakistan.
