India once again refuses to join court proceedings in Kulbhushan Jadhav case
October 7, 2020

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – India has once again refused to become part of the court proceedings in the Kulbhushan Jadhav case.

In a reply submitted in the Islamabad High Court on Tuesday, Attorney General Khalid Javed Khan said that India is deliberating fleeing from the case. "The State has only one option to hire a counsel for Kulbhushan," he stated.

The court sought assistant in the case and adjourned the case till November 9.

Earlier, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) had given Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav the deadline to hire a counsel till October 6. The court had also directed the authorities to offer the third consular access to Kulbhushan Jadhav.

Talking to the media outside court, Attorney General Khalid Javed Khan said that they had informed India and Kulbhushan Jadhav about the court orders through the Foreign Office.

But India did not give a reply even after one month. India has only one option of facing the case in Pakistan, he said.

He said that there is no justification in moving the International Court of Justice. We have implemented the ICJ verdict. India appointed Barrister Shah Nawaz, but he had neither the power of attorney nor the authority letter, he added.
