India opens Kartarpur corridor after 18 months on Baba Guru Nanak’s 552nd birth anniversary

LAHORE (92 News) – India has opened Kartarpur corridor after 18 months on Baba Guru Nanak’s 552nd birth anniversary.

Prominent personalities of Indian Punjab will arrive in Kartarpur today with a high level delegation. The delegation included Indian Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Chani, Punjab Congress Committee President, former cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu, Indian Punjab Deputy Chief Ministers Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Om Prakash Soni, Mrs. Aruna Chaudhary, Haresh Chaudhary, Rana Gurjeet Singh.

India closed the border with the Kartarpur corridor in March 2020. India took this step just four months after the inauguration of the Kartarpur Corridor.

On the other hand, the spokesperson of Pakistan High Commission Delhi said that 2,443 Sikh pilgrims have reached Pakistan from India via Wagah. On arrival in Pakistan, they were warmly welcomed and showered with flower petals. Sikh pilgrims are visiting Pakistan from November 17 to 26.
