LAHORE (92 News) – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Shaharyar Khan has said that India are ready to play Pakistan and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) wants government’s permission to play in Pakistan. Addressing a press conference at Gaddafi Stadium on Monday, he said that more teams want to visit Pakistan after Zimbabwe. “We will not pressurize any team to visit Pakistan and teams will come of their own.” The PCB chairman said that cricket should be kept away from politics in the Pak-India relations. “The BCCI is ready to play in Pakistan and will visit Pakistan after permission from its government. Yet six months are remaining and issues will be resolved by then,” he maintained. He said that the security situation is improving in the country. “International teams are ready to visit Pakistan. Scotland and Ireland are ready to visit Pakistan. Schedule will be arranged in two-three weeks,” he said. Shaharyar Khan said that it had been decided that the Pakistan Super League will be played this year. “International players are reluctant to visit Pakistan. For this reason, first few editions of the Super League will be played abroad,” he said.
