India resorting to Pulwama for diverting attention from elections: Mizari

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari criticised India has said that India is resorting to Pulwama incident to divert attention from the upcoming elections in the country. In his statement on Tuesday, the federal minister said, “India is escalating tension in the region,” said Mazari, adding that, New Delhi is resorting to Pulwama incident to divert attention from the upcoming elections in the country. Shireen Mizari also said that New Dehli has continuously violated United Nations’ resolutions on occupied Kashmir and Indian security forces are committing state terrorism in the region. She said that Indian forces committing human rights violations in the valley will not be able to suppress the freedom movement of the innocent Kashmiri people. “New Delhi is continuously violating United Nations (UN) Security Council resolutions on Kashmir and attempting to change the demography of the held valley,” Mazarisaid. She further maintained that India has always jeopardised peace of the region through its aggressive measures. The minister maintained that instead of fanning provocation, India should pay attention towards resolving the issues being faced by its people. “The internal situation of India is also deteriorating day by day as the minorities are not safe in India,” the human right minister said. “Kashmir is not a dispute not just between two countries, but it is an international dispute as it is with UN security council.” She lamented that the world has turned a blind eye to Indian human rights abuses in Kashmir, which reflects hypocrisy on the part of countries that talk about human rights and democracy.
Pulwama Attack: Pakistan to retaliate if attacked from Indian side
Earlier today, Prime Minister Imran Khan warned on Tuesday that Pakistan will retaliate with full force without thinking if it was attacked by Indian sides. Addressing to nation – giving Pakistan’s Policy statement on Pulwama – Imran Khan responded sternly to India’s blame game against Pakistan. “Pakistan will not think about retaliating if it comes under attack, Pakistan will most definitely retaliate,” the premier made it clear. PM Imran Khan asked why Pakistan need to carry out any terror attack? “Why will Pakistan engage in terrorism? What purpose will this serve? What advantage does it have for us? Pakistan has suffered the most in the war against terror,” he mentioned. He also said that it is in Pakistan’s interest not to have terrorists on its soil, adding that his government will cooperate if India gives evidence, actionable intelligence on Pulwama.
