WASHINGTON (92 News) – US State Department Spokesman Mark Toner has on Wednesday said that Pakistan and India should sign an agreement banning the nuclear testing for stability in the region. Addressing a press briefing in Washington on Wednesday, he said that India has to answer to Pakistan's suggestion of signing the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty (CTBT). The United States has advocated direct talks between India and Pakistan to reduce tension between the two countries and normalize their ties. "We strongly support all efforts between India and Pakistan that can contribute to a more stable and prosperous region, and that includes meetings at any level between Indian and Pakistani officials," Toner added.
