Indian farmers continue protest for 16th day despite severe cold

NEW DELHI (92 News) – Indian farmers continued their protest for the 16th day against the policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Thousands of farmers are staging a sit-in on the Indian capital's Sanghu and Takri borders. Leaders have also threatened to stage a sit-in on the railway tracks.

A group of protesters took off their shirts and chanted slogans against the new anti-farmers law.

In Ludhiana, women also staged a demonstration against the Modi government. Several opposition parties are already supporting the protesting farmers.

In London, the Sikh community has planned protests outside the Indian High Commission which sought help from Scotland Yard for security. Commandoes have been deployed around the Indian High Commission. Security officials have taken the control of the commission.
