Indian PM Modi falls flat after Pakistan’s befitting reply
RAJESTHAN (92 News) – Indian Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi fell flat after PM Imran Khan’s straight forward and befitting response to the rival-country’s threats.
Addressing a gathering at Rajasthan’s Tonk, Modi on Saturday recalled his telephonic conversation with his Pakistani counterpart after he won general elections 2018.
“When Pakistan got a new prime minister, I congratulated him. Imran Khan had said to me that he was son of a Pathan and will stand by his words,” Indian prime minister mentioned. “We also discussed to fight together against poverty and illiteracy,” he added.
“I told him let us fight against poverty and illiteracy. He told me, 'Modi ji, I am the son of a Pathan. I speak true and I do true'. Today, the time has come for him to stand true to his words. I will see whether he stands true to his words or not,” he said.
Pakistan to retaliate if attacked from Indian side: PM
The statement of Modi came after Prime Minister Imran Khan warned that Pakistan will retaliate with full force without thinking if it was attacked by Indian sides.
Addressing to nation – giving Pakistan’s Policy statement on Pulwama – Imran Khan responded sternly to India’s blame game against Pakistan. “Pakistan will not think about retaliating if it comes under attack, Pakistan will most definitely retaliate,” the premier made it clear.
PM Imran Khan asked why Pakistan need to carry out any terror attack? “Why will Pakistan engage in terrorism? What purpose will this serve? What advantage does it have for us? Pakistan has suffered the most in the war against terror,” he mentioned.
He also said that it is in Pakistan’s interest not to have terrorists on its soil, adding that his government will cooperate if India gives evidence, actionable intelligence on Pulwama.
“Would we do such an act when the Saudi crown prince was visiting. Would a fool even consider sabotaging the conference and what benefit would we get out if it?” he questioned.
Imrna Khan remarked that the Indian government is stuck in the past. “It is using the same old rhetoric of blaming Pakistan for everything. You need to move ahead,” he added.
Advising the neighbor country, PM Khan said that India needs a new mindset, they need to think about what is the reason why young people in Kashmir aren’t afraid of dying.
The premier also offered to India, saying that Pakistan is ready for dialogue but it is not afraid of retaliation, he concluded.
India threatens to isolate Pakistan at international level
Earlier, Indian government had blamed Pakistan for Pulwama attack and threatened to isolate it at international level. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said those behind the terror attack would pay a very heavy price and had made a huge mistake.
Union Minister Arun Jaitley said they will take all possible diplomatic steps to ensure complete isolation of Pakistan and has withdrawn Most Favoured Nation status to the country.
In Pulwama Attack, at least 44 Indian paramilitary soldiers were killed on Thursday in Indian-occupied Kashmir in one the deadliest attacks. The attack saw explosives packed inside a van rip through buses in a convoy of 78 vehicles carrying some 2,500 members of the paramilitary CRPF.
