Indian Sikh yatrees reach Wagah for Baba Guru Nanak’s 549th birthday

LAHORE (92 News) – As many as 3,800 Indian Sinkh yatrees reached the Wagah railway station to participate in the 549th birthday of Baba Guru Nanak Dev Jee on Wednesday. Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) Chairman Ihsan Tahir welcomed the yatrees. Talking to the media, ETPB Chairman Ihsan Tahir said that he congratulates the Sikh nation on the birthday of Baba Guru Nanak. “I welcome all yatrees visiting Pakistan. Islam gives full rights to all minorities,” he said. Sikh yatrees leader Sardar Amarjeet Singh expressed his love for Pakistan and said that he has visited the country twice. “Pakistanis care us very much,” he added. The yatrees will stay in Pakistan for 10 days. The main ceremony will be held at Gurdwara Janam Asthan on Friday.
