SRINAGAR (KMS) – In Occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh acts of state terrorism martyred 10 Kashmiri youth in Pulwama district on Saturday. The troops martyred three youths during a cordon and search operation in Kharpora Sirnoo area of the district. People took to the streets and held forceful demonstrations against the killing of the youths. Indian troops fire bullets, pellets and teargas shells to disperse the protesters, killing seven more youths and injuring dozens others. Intense clashes between the demonstrators and Indian forces’ personnel are still going on in the area. Meanwhile, the Hurriyat leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik has called for three-day shutdown against the killings in Pulwama. The Hurriyat leaders also called a march to Badami Bagh cantonment in Srinagar on Monday to register protest against the killings. Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, in a tweet, said that from today onwards for three days mourning and complete protest strike would be observed all across the occupied territory. He said as the government of India has decided to kill Kashmiris through its armed forces, the JRL and people will march towards Badami Bagh Cantonment on Monday to ask the Indian government to kill all of them at one time rather than killing them daily.
