Indian violations along LoC aimed to divert world attention: AJK president

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) President Sardar Masood Ahmed Khan while condemning the Indian violations on Line of Control (LoC) said that these attempts are aimed at diverting International community attention from atrocities in Occupied Kashmir. Addressing a news briefing in Islamabad on Sunday, he said that Kashmir is an unresolved issue at the agenda of UN Security Council and the world body should take appropriate action for solution of this lingering dispute. Masood Khan said that Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif forcefully highlighted the Kashmir issue at UN General Assembly after taking Kashmiri leadership and Hurriyat leaders on board. He said that situation in Occupied Kashmir is deteriorating day by day and Indian forces have unleashed worst repression against Kashmiris. He further said that Pakistan and AJK leadership will continue its efforts to make realize world powers to use their influence and exert pressure on India to stop human rights violations. The AJK president said that during his visit of New York and Washington, he impressed upon the authorities in US to play their role for resolution of Kashmir issue. He said the fifth generation of Occupied Kashmir has now owned the struggle for right to self-determination and their peaceful movement cannot be suppressed through coercion.
