ISLAMABAD (92 News) – JI ameer Sirajul Haq has said that Indian water aggression has been increasing continuously. Talking to the media on Wednesday, he said that the country is facing an acute shortage of water due to constriction of the Kishanganga Dam and the violation of Indus Waters Treaty. “The country will give a desert-like look if the government continued to sleep,” he said. “Pakistan had a capacity to store 114 million acre feet, which has been reduced to 95 million acre feet.” The JI ameer said that the government has done nothing to control the water crisis and get its share from India. “Pakistan will face an acute water shortage after the construction of the Kishanganga Dam,” he added. Sirajul Haq said that country’s population and economy depend on the Indus River. He said that the population along 3,200km of the Indus River will face severe problems if water in the river reduced.
