ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has on Wednesday granted permission for the repatriation of Indian national Dr Uzma to her homeland.

The IHC judge Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiyani resumed hearing of two interlinked petitions filed by Dr Uzma and her Pakistani husband Tahir Ali.

Indian national Dr Uzma and Indian High Commission Secretarfy Piyush Sindh appeared before the court.

During the proceedings, the court asked Indian national if she wanted to talk to her Pakistani husband to which she said that she do not want to meet her Tahir Ali and requested the courtto allow her to go to her country.

The court granted her permission to go to her homeland and directed the Interior Ministry to provide her security.

Dr Uzma fainted in the court as soon as the court announced its judgment.
