India’s inclusion in NSG to disturb balance of power in the region: President Mamnoon, Xi Jinping

TASHKENT (92 News) – President Mamnoon Hussain and Chinese President Xi Jinping have said that the balance of power in the region could disturb by making only India a member of Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG). The two leaders expressed these views during a meeting held in Tashkent on the sidelines of 16th summit of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). During the meeting, President Mamnoon Hussain thanked President Xi Jinping for China's support to Pakistan's admission in the Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG) and said that China's stance was based on the policy of non-discrimination. He said that Pakistan and India should be included in NSG at the same time, similar to their inclusion in SCO. Mamnoon Hussain said that Pakistan condemned terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and mentioned the ongoing successful military operation Zarb-e-Azb. The president said that the two countries enjoyed unique level of friendship and expressed hope that the Sino-Pak friendship would touch new heights in future. The two sides agreed to have no compromise on the execution of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), saying that the project guarantees prosperity of the region. They also agreed on close collaboration between their countries to ensure the timely completion of CPEC.
