Indonesian FM Menlu RI thanks Pakistan for safe evacuation of diplomatic staff from Kabul

NEW YORK (92 News) – Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi called on Indonesian counterpart Menlu RI on the sidelines of 76th session of the UN General Assembly on Friday.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that they had discussed strengthening the bilateral relationship and close coordination to deal effectively with regional and global challenges being faced by both countries.

He stressed the need for expanding the economic relations.

Indonesian Foreign Minister Menlu RI thanked the Pakistan leadership for safe evacuation of the diplomatic staff from Kabul.

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi also met Japan Foreign Minister Motegi Toshimitsu and Finnish counterpart Pekka Haavisto.

During the meetings, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi expressed Pakistan’s resolve to further solidify its political and economic ties with both coutries. He stressed on the need to promote lasting peace and stability in Afghanistan through active and sustained engagement of the international community to address the immediate humanitarian needs of the Afghan people and their long-term socio-economic development.

He shared with his counterparts a Dossier documenting India’s grave violations of human rights, international humanitarian law and UN Security Council resolutions in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
