Inflation grips world, govt striving to create easiness for people: PM Imran Khan
LAHORE (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan launched Naya Pakistan Sehat Card programme for Punjab.
Addressing the ceremony on Monday, he said that he had thought of issuing the Sehat card because people's houses were sold in diseases. "Inflation is in the world. The government is trying to create easiness for the masses," he added.
The prime minister said that the people having income less that Rs50,000 will benefit from the Ehsas Card. "The government is giving the scholarship amounting to Rs47 billion. The families in Punjab will get the health card across Punjab by March. Private hospitals will be established in the province. The people will be able to get free treatment. An amount of Rs400 billion will be spent on the health insurance," he added.
Speaking on the occasion, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar said that the government had allocated Rs400 billion for the healthcare.
Punjab Health Minister Yasmin Rashid said that 30 million people would be issued the health card under the programme.
