SIALKOT (92 News) – Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif said that the inflation has broken the backbone of the people during the last three years.

Addressing the workers convention on Saturday, he said that today petrol bombs were being lobbed. The economy is destroying. "The people have fed up with the PTI. The next election will be of the PML-N."

He said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) had met political death at its birthplace. “They talk about the State of Madina and their actions are contradictory to their statements. No one sleeps hungry in the State of Madina. They used to say that the prime minister is a thief if the dollar price increases. Today it has been proved," he added.

The PML-N president said that today the people of Sialkot are remembering the government of Nawaz Sharif. "In his tenure, the people were getting medicines and free CT scan services in hospitals. Students were getting free laptops in their educational institutes."

He said that they are begging despite being an atomic power. "The economy has suffered severe blows due to the mistakes committed by the government, which did not fulfill the promise of constructing 10 million homes. Even a single brick could not be laid in this regard," he maintained. Sharing his experience in jail, he said that he and Khawaja Asif used to sleep on floor during winters. "We were not allowed heaters in prison."

PML-N leader Khawaja Saad Rafique said that the government had taken political revenge for three years. "Political reality cannot be changed on the basis of the power. The election will become controversial from day one if electronic voting machine (EVM) is forcibly imposed," he added.

Khawaja Asif said that conditions in Pakistan are not good. "Imran Khan has not achieved success on any front," he added.
