Inflation hits 23-month high, price-hike ratio soars to 11.9% in November

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Inflation soared to 23-month high on Tuesday, while the price-hike ration increased to 11.9 percent in November.

According to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, the ghee price has increased by 58.29 percent, electricity price by 47.87 percent, POL products by 40.81 percent and medicines by 11.76 percent in a year.

The prices of lintels, vegetables, fruits and flour have also increased manifold. The inflation rate in cities remained at 12 percent, while it remained at 10.9 percent in villages. The indicators of the daily-use items touched 18.1 percent, while the inflation of wholesale price indicators reached 27 percent.

Meanwhile, the cover inflation has reached 7.6 percent, which was 6.7 percent in October.
