Inflation rate surges to 2.5 per cent within a month in Pakistan

KARACHI (92 News) – The inflation rate surged 2.5 per cent within a month in Pakistan. According to the Bureau of Statistics, the annual inflation rate in Pakistan has climbed seven per cent in October from 5.12 percent. This rise in inflation rate was witnessed after Pakistan’s central bank decreased the value of currency by five times since December. Increased prices of gas as 105 per cent and other items also caused surge in the inflation. The newspapers price also hiked more than 55 percent. As per statistics, the fare of buses increased 50 per cent and diesel as 34 per cent and Kerosene oil as 31 per cent within a year. Meanwhile, the prices of broiler chicken hiked as 28 per cent and the cylinder of gas increased 26 per cent within a year.
