Information Ministry sets up body for probe into disclosures by Maryam Nawaz

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Information Ministry has set up a committee for a probe into the disclosures by PML-N vice-president Maryam Nawaz.

The committee will compile a report on irregularities and favouring journalists and media groups. Sources said that an amount of Rs9.62 billion was spent from the national exchequer through the Media Cell run of Maryam Nawaz.

During a press conference on Wednesday, PML-N vice-president Maryam Nawaz had admitted that she had ordered to stop the advertisements of 92 News.

She admitted that the audio tape regarding not giving advertisements to four TV channels, including 92 News, belonged to her.
