DUBAI – Having come through the first round of matches at the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2021, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh begin their Super 12 campaign in Sharjah.

Sri Lanka win the toss and choose to bowl in their Group 1 match at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

It is another hot day. The pitch is expected to play slow and low, with wicket-to-wicket bowling earning reward.

Sri Lanka are coming off an unbeaten run in the first round, while Bangladesh had to bounce back after a loss to Scotland in their opening game and finished second in their group.

Playing XI

Sri Lanka make one change from the side that brushed aside the Netherlands. Maheesh Teekshana, the mystery spinner, misses out with a side strain, while Binura Fernando, the left-arm quick, comes in.
