Inquiry against PML-N’s Rana Mashood launched, says DG NAB

LAHORE (92 News) – Director General National Accountability Bureau Syed Burhan Ali has on Thursday said that an inquiry has been initiated against Punjab Education Minister Rana Mashood and noose has been tightened against corrupt elements. Talking to media, he said that the Rs 13 million cheques have been distributed among the victims of Double Shah and Karmanwala Housing Scheme cases, adding that the NAB has received this money from the accused. Answering a question, Syed Burhan Ali said that they have received applications against two PML-N leaders, adding that the action will be taken after investigations. Commenting on Pakistan People’s Party leader Qasim Zia, he said that the NAB does not have pressure of any political party. The DG NAB said that they have also received applications against Lahore Development Authority (LDA) and other government departments, adding that corrupt elements will be brought to justice.
