KARACHI (92 News) - The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) declared the inquiry report on unrest during the NA-24 by-election on Monday.

According to the report submitted by the regional election commissioner, the ECP has made the returning officer and deputy returning officer as officer on special duty (OSD).

The report stated that the police failed in controlling the groups as well as the police contingent was inappropriate. It said that an unknown person had returned the ballot papers.

Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja warned the Sindh IGP that they could removed him if the conditions remained the same. He also rejected the request of the Korangi SSP for time. He ordered the authorities concerned to present the report on July 7.

Moreover, the ECP summoned PSP chairman Mustafa Kamal on the next date of hearing.
