Inspector among six cops martyred in exchange of fire with kidnappers in Jaffarabad

JAFFARABAD (92 News) - Six policemen, including an inspector, were martyred in an exchange of fire with kidnappers in Jaffarabad on Wednesday.

Three policemen were also injured in the incident.

According to the police, a team entered the bordering area of Jageer for the recovery of a kidnapped citizen when the kidnappers opened fire on them. As a result, three policemen died on the spot while three others were shifted to hospital where they succumbed to their wounds.

The police have cordoned off the area. More contingent has been sent to the area.
