Intelligence Agencies killed senior al Qaeda, detained his wife and children in Quetta operation

QUETTA (92 News) – A senior al Qaeda leader was killed while his wife and children were detained on Sunday. Addressing a press conference, Balochistan Home Minister Sarfraz Bugti said that Intelligence Agencies conducted an operation in Chaghi area and killed al Qaeda leader of Balochistan and South Punjab Umer Latif alias Luqman and arrested his wife and children. Sarfraz Bugti said that the deceased al Qaeda leader shifted from Afghanistan to Balochistan area and was supervising al Qaeda network’s activities, adding that the head money was Rs 2 million, while his brother managed to escape. Earlier, the Intelligence Agencies conducted an operation in Quetta’s Sarwar Town area and detained a terrorist involved in the attacks on Army Headquaters (GHQ) and Intelligence Agencies offices.
