LAHORE (92 News) – Following an increase of Rs 10.49 in the petrol price, inter-city and goods transporters have increased fares by 15-20 percent.

Transporters have started receiving the new fares at General Bus Stand and other bus stands. Passengers and transporters had scuffles over the fares issue at different places.

The Pakistan Inter-City Bus Owners Federation president said that they had increased the fares under compulsion.

He condemned the increase in the POL products and closure of CNG. "The recent increase in POL products is an attempt the transporters alive," he added.

He demanded that the increase should be withdrawn immediately.
