Interior Minister Ch Nisar orders suspension of NADRA-Mastercard agreement

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Interior Minister Ch Nisar has taken notice of an agreement signed between the NADRA and Master Card for financial transactions, ordering its immediate suspension. Addressing a press conference on Thursday, he said that the agreement was signed without written permission. “Neither the stakeholders were consulted nor security issues kept in the mind,” he maintained. The minister asked the NADRA to which extent the foreign company is being given access to the NADRA database and under which laws. He said that the use of technology in the monetary transactions is a good omen. “There will be no compromise on national database security and no institution will be given permission to exceed its limits,” he said.
