Interior Minister Rana Sana, CEC Sikandar Sultan discuss security arrangements for upcoming by-polls
ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja telephoned Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah today on Friday.
They are discussed security arrangements for upcoming by-elections in different parts of the country.
On the other hand, the Election Commission has completed all the preparations for the by-elections in 20 constituencies of the Punjab Assembly. Police security will be provided to the presiding officers while police rangers and army personnel will be in charge of security.
The Presiding Officers will keep the mobile location on while sending a copy of the results of the polling station and will send the results to the polling agents. If there is no internet facility, the Presiding Officer will reach the RO office and submit Form 45.
The Election Commission has asked the polling agents not to leave the polling station without the form signed by the presiding officers. The Election Commission has also set up control rooms in the Central Provincial and each RO office.
