Interior Ministry approves to issue red warrants for Dar

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Ministry of Interior on Saturday approved to issue red warrants for former finance minister Ishaq Dar. As per details garnered, the directions came following the recommendation of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB). The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has written a letter to Interpol for the detention of Dar while on the directions from the Ministry of Interior. The red warrant is an international notice sent to the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) seeking the arrest and extradition of an individual. Earlier, the attorney general of Pakistan informed the Supreme Court (SC) that a red warrants for former finance minister Ishaq Dar has been issued. The attorney general told the bench that passport of the Pakistan Muslim League-N leader has not been cancelled. The Ministry of Interior also submitted its response that the top court had sought from it. The bench was told that the former finance minister would be brought back to the country with the help of Interpol. The hearing of the case pertaining to Ishaq Dar ‘s return was adjourned for two weeks.
