International Earth Day being observed today to pledge for end to environmental pollution

Seminars and ceremonies are being held to pledge for an end to environmental pollution and every kind of protection of the earth. John McConnell had proposed to attribute a day to the protection of the earth during a UNESCO conference in 1969. The International Earth Day was observed first time in 1970. A concert was held in San Francisco in connection with the International Earth Day on Tuesday, which was participated by thousands of people.
