Internet services restored in Pakistan after submarine fault cable repair
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Internet services have been restored across Pakistan after repair of Submarine cable fault on Wednesday.
“Good News! We are pleased to inform you that the SMW-4 submarine cable fault has been rectified and internet services have been restored,” said Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) in a post on Twitter.
“We regret any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience,” it added.
A day earlier, internet services across Pakistan were affected due to a fault in two international submarine cables. “We regret to inform you that due to international submarine cable fault, internet services are impacted across Pakistan,” said PTCL in a post on Twitter. “Our technical teams are working on fully restoring internet services. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience.”Good News! In a statement, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) said that due to a fault in the international submarine cable, services have been affected. “Since today evening, some areas of Pakistan experienced a disruption in services,” the PTA spokesperson said. The telecom authority said that PTCL, along with international organisations, are working to ascertain the location where the fault has developed.We regret to inform you that due to international submarine cable fault, internet services are impacted across Pakistan.
