JIT records statements of Intezar ’s father, Madiha & SSP

KARACHI (92 News) – The Joint Investigation Team (JIT) formed to probe Intezar murder case on Friday held its first meeting in Karachi. During the meeting, the JIT headed by Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) SSP Pervaiz Chandio recorded the statements of Intezar’s father Ishtiaq Ahmad, Madiha Kayani and SSP Muqadas Haider. ACLC former SSP Muqadas Haider also appeared before the probe team, while the statements of ACLC officials who had fired shots were also recorded in the meeting. The JIT will determine the reason of their presence at the place of the incident. Sources said that the JIT is investigating case from every aspect. Earlier, the CTD had recorded the statements of Madiha Kayani, the eyewitness, and former SSP ACL Muqadas Haider. Muqadas Haider said that he did not recognize Madiha Kayani or Intizar Ahmed. Madiha Kayani also refused to recognize the former SSP. On the other hand, Intizar’s father said that his son was murdered under a plan. “Eighteen shots were fire at the vehicle, but Madiha did not get a bruise,” he said.
