Int’l Rehmatul-lil-Alameen (SAW) Conference held in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – International Rehmatul-lil-Alameen (SAW) Conference in connection with Eid Milad-ul-Nabi held in Islamabad. It was held under the auspices of Ministry of Religious Affairs and Inter-Faith Harmony. The theme of this year's conference was State of Madina and concept of modern Islamic Welfare State – in light of teachings of the prophet (PBUH). The opening session of the conference is being chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan. The event was attended by religious personalities, Ulemas, Mashaikh and scholars besides people from various walks of life. A large number of scholars from various Islamic countries were also in attendance.
Strong foundation for Riasat e Medina built: Noorul Haq Qadri
Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Noorul Haq Qadri says the Holy Prophet (PBUH) brought justice, knowledge and enlightenment in the society that was trapped in darkness, ignorance and injustice. Addressing International Rehmatul-lil-Alameen (SAW) Conference, he said Allah took oath from all prophets regarding belief on Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), who will be final in the chain of Prophethood. All the prophets mentioned the promised prophet (PBUH) in their times. He said Allah will grant high level to those who mention the name of prophet Muhammad (PBUH) with reverence. The minister said Prime Minister Imran Khan has a vision to transform Pakistan into a social welfare state on the pattern of state of Madina. He said the way Prime Minister raised voice at the United Nations and other world forums for respect and dignity of prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is unprecedented. He said the research papers and articles to be presented in today's conference will become the foundation of the setting up of a modern Islamic welfare state of Pakistan. On the occassion, Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that no national Reconciliations Ordinances (NROs) or other relaxations can be given to the corrupt people on Sunday. Addressing International Rehmatul-lil-Alameen (SAW) Conference, the prime minister mentioned that those who plundered the wealth of the nation deserve no right to be spared. “They looted the money of poor people not mine. Mercy should only for the poor not for looters,” he added. Imran Khan said no NROs or other relaxations can be given to corrupt people. “Our society was destroyed after giving NROs,” he said. He also said the compassion is for poor and downtrodden segments of society and not for powerful and corrupt people.
Needs revenues in form of taxes
PM Khan said it is state’s responsibility to look after the weaker segments. He said for a state to function effectively, it needs revenues in the form of taxes to run the affairs efficiently. He said people have also the responsibility to play their due share in uplift of society.
