Investigation so far proved that Arshad Sharif was murdered: Rana Sanaullah

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has said that the investigation so far proved that Arshad Sharif was murdered.

Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, he said that he took a briefing on the return of the team that visited Kenya for the investigation into the killing of Arshad Sharif.

"We will ask the investigation team to visit Dubai as well. Some things are still to be investigated in the Arshad Sharif murder case. The stance taken by the Kenyan police is not proven," he declared.

Rana Sanaullah said that it is hoped that the killers of Arshad Sharif would be identified.

He said that it is clear from the preliminary investigation that the accused of the attack on Imran Khan is only Naveed.

"The attack was carried out due to controversial statements of Imran Khan. The provincial governments should clear the roads immediately, otherwise there will be constitutional consequences. It is also feared that the public will react and the police will fail to protect the rioters. The Punjab and KP police should stop protecting the protesters," he declared.

He demanded that the court should take notice of the closure of roads during the protest.
