Iranian supreme leader’s adviser dies from coronavirus

TEHRAN (Web Desk) – A member of a council that advises Iran’s supreme leader died after falling sick from the new coronavirus, state radio reported, becoming the first top official to succumb to the illness that is affecting members of the Islamic Republic's leadership. Expediency Council member Mohammad Mirmohammadi died at a Tehran hospital of the virus, state radio said according to AP. He was 71. Trying to stem the outbreak of the new coronavirus, Iran on Monday held an online-only briefing by its foreign ministry as Britain began evacuating nonessential staff and families from the country.
India reports two more cases of coronavirus, taking tally to 5
India has reported two more cases of coronavirus taking the number of people who have tested positive in the country to five, Reuters reported. One of the new cases was detected in the capital New Delhi, while the other was in the southern state of Telangana, the government said in a statement. The patients had a travel history from Italy and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, respectively, the statement said. Both patients were stable and being closely monitored.
