Ishaq Dar appears before AC today

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Finance Minister Ishaq Dar will today (Monday) appear before the accountability court (AC) for seventh time in assets beyond income reference. The accountability court judge Muhammad Bashir will resume hearing of the assets beyond income reference against Ishaq Dar. During the proceedings, the AC will record statements of two prosecution witnesses Masoodul Ghani of Habib Bank and Abdul Rahman Gondal of Allied Bank against the finance minister. Khawaja Harris, the counsel of Ishaq Dar will cross examine the witnesses. On October 18, the accountability court (AC) had adjourned the hearing of reference against Finance Minister Ishaq Dar due to unavailability of the counsel of the federal minister. The junior lawyer had informed the court that Khawaja Harris was abroad and would return October 25 after which the court adjourned the hearing until Monday (today).
