ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The talks between Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and traders remained successful as government reduced the withholding tax on bank transaction to 0.3 percent from 0.6 percent. Addressing a press conference after the talks on Thursday, he said that traders would file their tax returns on priority basis. He said that the tax would be reduced till September 30, 2015. “0.6 percent tax will be imposed on the people not paying tax till September 30,” he said. He said that a notice regarding imposition of withholding tax will be issued in one-two day. However, traders organizations have rejected the decision. They demanded an end to the withholding tax.
