ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Prime Minister Imran Khan has declared that Islam has nothing to do with terrorism and extremism.

Speaking at the concluding address of the 48th Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers inaugural session on Tuesday, he said that Islamophobia witnessed an increase after the 9/11. "The Muslim world adopted a silence. This is the first occasion, the world understood as its real issue."

He advised the Muslim Ummah to be united and not become part of any war or bloc.

The prime minister said that the world peace is linked to peace in Afghanistan. "No country will be safe if unrest emerged in Afghanistan again. We will have to eliminate international terrorism from the Afghan soil. Afghanistan got a chance for peace after 40 years," he added. He said that the Afghan people will never tolerate foreign intervention.

He said that India had illegally revoked the status of Kashmir. "The genocide of Muslims in Occupied Kashmir is condemnable. The majority is being turned into a minority. The world will have to stop the illegal acts against the Muslims," he maintained.

PM Imran Khan said that Islam had given rights to women most of all religions. "About 70 percent women are deprived of inheritance right in Pakistan. The OIC will have to play its role to resolve the Russia-Ukraine issue. It is pity that as the Muslim Ummah, we have been unsuccessful over the Palestine and Kashmir issues. Both nations have been deprived of the right to self-determination," he added.

He said that the Pakistan government had established the Rehmatul-Lil-Alameen Authority comprising of scholars.
