Islamabad Mayor Sheikh Ansar Aziz sends resignation to ECP

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Islamabad Mayor Sheikh Ansar Aziz tendered his resignation from the post on Tuesday.

He has sent the resignation to the Election Commission of Pakistan.

Source said that his resignation is likely to be rejected because Sheikh Ansar Aziz had used the wrong channel. They said that Sheikh Ansar should have sent the resignation to the Local Government, which should have forwarded it to the ECP.

They said that the mayor had sent the resignation in violation of the ICT Act.
