Islamabad United inflict five-wicket defeat on Karachi Kings in PSL 6

KARACHI (92 News) – Islamabad United inflicted a five-wicket defeat on Karachi Kings in a match of Pakistan Super League 6 at National Stadium on Wednesday.

The winners achieved the 197-run target for the loss of five wickets in 19.1 overs. Alex Hales smashed 46 with the help of eight fours. Iftikhar Ahmed hit 49 runs aided by two fours and three 6s. Hussain Talat (42), Faheem Ashraf (25) and Asif Ali (21) were other main contributors.

Imad Wasim, Muhammad Amir, Waqas Maqsood Arshad Iqbal and Muhammad Nabi shared one wicket each.

Batting first, Karachi Kings scored 196 runs for the loss of three wickets. Sharjeel Khan hit 105 runs off 59 balls with the help of nine fours and eight sixes. Babar Azam hit 62 runs with six fours and one six. Daniel Chiristian (12) and Muhammad Nabi (7) were other scorers. Hasan Ali and Hussain Talat got one wicket each.

Alex Hales was declared Player of the Match.
