Islamabad wears festive look ahead of visit of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman
ISLAMABAD (92 New) – The city is wearing a festive look ahead of the visit of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Sunday.
Elaborate arrangements have been made to accord a historic and majestic welcome to the visiting dignitaries. The city has been decorated like a bride. Banners carrying slogans of Pak-Saudi friendship have been displayed across the city.
Prime Minister Imran Khan and the federal cabinet members will welcome the royal guests. A big portrait of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has been displayed at the Parliament House.
A ladder carrying red carpet has been shifted to Nur Khan Airbase.
Meanwhile, all the offices of the federal government and federal secretariat on the constitution avenue, Islamabad will remain closed on Monday except the essential staff of the ministries and departments of Interior, Finance, Cabinet, Foreign Affairs, Information and Broadcasting, Commerce and Trade, Board of Investment, President Secretariat and the Prime Minister's office.
A notification to this effect has been issued by the Interior Ministry.
Meanwhile, Supreme Court of Pakistan will remain open on Monday and will hear cases as per cause list.
According to a press release, Ministry of Interior will facilitate lawyers, litigants and staff of the Supreme Court at entry points to reach the apex court easily.
