Islamic Ideology Council declares honor killing a crime

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Islamic Ideology Council (ICC) has declared that honor killing is a crime. It said that the council had formed a working group comprising of Ulema and law experts keeping in view the importance of the issue. It further stated that Islam does not allow anyone to punish his/her relative for his moral crime. “Despite forbidding obscenity and evil acts, Islam does not allow anyone to punish the accused of immorality extra-judicially,” it added.
