KUALA LUMPUR (92 News) – Malaysian former prime minister Mahathir Mohamad has said that the Israeli arrogance turned the Eid day into a hate day.

Addressing a gathering in Kualalumpur on Friday, he said that Israel had desecrated Al-Aqsa Mosque and unjustifiably martyred women and children.

He said that Israeli atrocities against Palestinians are beyond understanding. "Israel terms itself an affectee of the inhuman treatment on the basis of the Holocaust. Israel has been unleashing atrocities since 1948. It seems that Israel now wants to occupy Palestine and eliminate each Palestinian," he maintained.

He said that they approached the United Nations, but to no avail. "Despite all these facts, some Muslims and Arab countries are trying to establish relations with Israel," he said.

The Malaysian former PM was of the view that only two-state solution can only be the permanent solution.
