It's important to restore people's confidence that justice is being done: CJP

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa has said that it is important to restore the confidence of the common people that justice is being done.

Addressing a ceremony at Judicial Academy on Saturday, he said that the live hearing of the cases will bring more transparency in the justice system and common citizens will see the justice being done.

" Justice should not only be done, it should also be seen to be done. Treat all parties equally. Every citizen has the right to disagree with decisions, but respect is mandatory," he observed.

He said that the petitioners firstly interacts with civil judges. "There will be less pressure on higher courts if the civil judges are trained," he added.

The CJP said that modern technology was being used in the Supreme Courts as well. "Through the WhatsApp channel, the district judiciary judges will be able to exchange their views and experiences," he maintained.
